LIVE Zoom Event - Relative Strangers Work-in-Progress Sneak Peek - September 24, 2026 at 4pm Pacific Time

On September 24th, join us for a Live Zoom Event featuring special guests and a virtual sneak peek of the work-in-progress documentary, Relative Strangers. Hear personal stories from two of the film's protagonists, Tanne Beudeker from The Netherlands and Dr. Darrell Seldon, the brother she discovered via DNA testing from Forston, GA; learn about the historical context of mixed-race Korean children fathered by American G.I.s; and get a first look at work-in-progress footage capturing stories that have long been under-represented within adoption and Korean diaspora narratives.

VIVIEN’S WILD RIDE PUBLIC DIALOGUE SERIES

In celebration of the broadcast premiere of Vivien’s Wild Ride in January 2026, Mu Films is pleased to offer an online dialogue series to promote community conversations around sight loss, adoption, and the role of women in film. All events are online, free, and open to the public.

Vis/Ability - A conversation with Vivien Hillgrove (Director: Vivien’s Wild Ride), Sheridan O'Donnell (Director: Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution), James LeBrecht (Co-Director with Nicole Newnham: Crip Camp), and Eric M. Ivey (Editor: Vivien’s Wild Ride) about film directing with a visual disability, working with a mixed-ability film-team, and the importance of care-work before, during, and after the film is made. Moderated by award-winning filmmaker James LeBrecht.

Presented by Mu Films,  BAVC Media, and Mom's Head Films. Co-presented with FWD-Doc.

Relinquishment, Reunion, and Family Truths – Birth/first mother Vivien Hillgrove (Director: Vivien’s Wild Ride), her daughter Kathleen Toschi, Dr. Sara Docan-Morgan (author, In Reunion), and Moderator Astrid Castro (Founder and CEO, Adoption Mosaic) in a conversation about relinquishment during the "Baby Scoop Era" of U.S. adoptions (1945-1973), and the complexities of adoption reunions decades later.
